From The Patient’s Family:
We were in the ICU with my mother, and we were all very overwhelmed with the situation. My mother had a stroke. Although we had hope, she was likely not going to get better. All the nurses in the ICU were wonderful and caring. Really, everyone gave us a lot of time and attention. The one person who really stands out is the nurse who prayed with my mother and sisters. My sister, had requested a chaplain. I am not sure, but the chaplain was not able to come right then. Nancy Niesingt came into the room and prayed with us. That was very special. – I guess, more than we would have hoped for at that minute. About the time my mother was dying, my daughter found out she was pregnant. I am going to be a grandma – that is the circle of life.
