Emily made sure all my medications and doctors orders were always followed and if we had questions that an answer was found and it was explained to myself and my family. She was very professional with an excellent bedside manner. She assisted me and my family with problems we had experienced and advised us with whom to talk and helped to keep my family member calm during any situation. She followed up to make sure her advisement was completed during her break time. All around she is a “heck of a nurse” and should train others when possible. Emily went up and beyond making sure our medical needs were met and we were comfortable during our stay and also visited when I was transferred to another floor. She makes the 5 star rating! Emily has a “can do” personality without being overbearing. After I complained about how my nose tube felt, she checked and realized it needed resetting. She took care of “advancing” it and it felt a great deal better and she did a good job of suctioning too. Before her shift, I was told something like, “yeah, nobody likes those tubes” but Emily paid attention to me and not the obvious. Patient #2
