A patient told me that he was on one of our floors and was emergently transferred to the ICU. He states with tears in his eyes, "Christina saved my life". She knew exactly what to do to save me". He described his experience and said that not only did she know what to do for him clinically; she took care of him with kindness and compassion. He was very sick and thought that he would not make it. He shared that Christina was there not only for him, but for his wife too. She talked to them and held his hand. He will never forget her. The same day I rounded on this gentleman I had another patient that recognized Christina who went above and beyond for him while he was so sick in the unit. Christina gives compassionate care to all her patients.
Christina always has a smile and a positive attitude. She never fails to help no matter how busy she is. She goes the extra mile with her patients and their families. She is a joy to work with.
Christina is always helpful when other nurses get new admits. She always tries to help you get your patients settled in when getting back from procedures. She does all of this with a smile.
