Allie has spearheaded the ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) program from its infancy. Her organization and drive for excellence for our patients, combined with her bubbly personality makes her a true DAISY Nurse. Allie has coordinated the ERAS program by working collaboratively with many departments: Pre-Op, PAT, OR, anesthesia, pharmacy, PACU, and the floors. She serves as both a mentor and educator to her patients and the staff.
Allie's role as an educator of this program is to shepherd the patient and their family through the process from surgical booking to discharge home and beyond, making sure the patient is the main focus throughout. Allie meets every patient and coordinates their pre-hospital prep, including diet, exercise, and emotional support and then meets each patient on the day of their surgery. She always has a smile on her face and genuinely cares about her patients and co-workers.
Allie is the consummate nurse! She is a great patient advocate and extremely professional when dealing with all levels of the organization. Allie is always cheerful, upbeat and very helpful!
