Eunice Ramos is an absolutely phenomenal nurse. When she is charge nurse, or even just working as one of the staff nurses, my anxiety is quelled because I know I can trust her to manage anything that comes our way. On top of her amazing skills with the patient, orchestrating the unit and staff, and her extensive knowledge and experience, Eunice is the most mild-tempered soul and is refreshing to be around. Eunice has both the skill and the personality to handle both and that makes her such a wonderful and competent Nurse Leader. She is currently going to school to become a Nurse Practitioner of Psychiatry; she is always learning and sharing her knowledge. Her pleasant calm demeanor is why so many patients, despite their illnesses, trust her almost immediately. She is always getting letters and hugs from patients, even if she was only their nurse for one day. I honestly believe it is impossible to meet Eunice and not like her. She is a hard worker, as well; always taking the more difficult assignments and always taking admissions. She is willing and volunteers to do the work that others don't want to do. I remember when a different charge nurse got into an argument with a CPA on our unit after asking/reminding the CPA to do a task. The CPA was very upset, and after calming down, she (the CPA) said, "I know what to do; I will do my job, but nobody should talk to me like that...I have never had a problem with the way Eunice talks to me and we've worked together for years and years", "It's not what she says, it's how she talks to me". Even those who have worked with her for years, under her, have never felt disrespected in any way. She is so humble, yet easily the most competent nurse we have. I would trust her with my family, follow her into a storm and give her anything she asks for. What a fantastic nurse and role model she is!
