My grandma was a patient in the ICU and Crystal was her nurse during this time. Her compassion for my grandma and our family was evident immediately. Even before she developed a relationship with us.
Our grandma had lost her ability to recognize us and required total care. The unit was very busy during this time, yet Crystal never made us feel as if she was stressed or we were bothering her. She made us feel confident in her ability to provide our grandma with the best possible care. Also, our family has 3 nurses in it including me, and we just felt that she was an amazing nurse.
An example to live up to in nursing. Crystal was everything to our family that we wanted and needed at that difficult time. She was professional, competent, proficient, compassionate, empathetic, and just plain nice. I feel that she is an exemplary member of the nursing profession.
