Ginger Bai, RN wins the Daisy Award!

The Nursing Advocacy Group is pleased to announce that Ginger Bai, RN has won the Daisy Award! The Daisy Foundation is a nationwide group encouraging hospitals to honor their best nurses. This award was created to recognize outstanding nurses that go above and beyond in their care of others. We received nominations for 31 nurses that contribute to others’ feelings of respect, safety, and well-being, and exhibit kindness, selflessness, work ethic, and dedication to the patients and ASH team. All of these nurses embody ASH’s mission statement, “Partnering to find solutions toward wellness,” and all our nominees will receive Daisy pins to show our recognition and appreciation.

Ginger Bai received an overwhelming number of nominations, and they came from patients and PNAs on her service. She is widely recognized by her peers and her patients as being extraordinary, and the Nursing Advocacy Group is proud to honor her with this award. Some of the many wonderful things said about her include:
“She is the best nurse anyone could wish for.”
“She comes to work with a smile on her face, open arms, and helping hands.”
“She makes me feel calm and comfortable with her sweet personality. She makes it easy to trust her.”
“She always goes above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, safe, and most importantly good about ourselves.”

Ginger received a sculpture entitled “A Healer’s Touch”, hand-carved by the Shona Tribe in Zimbabwe. She also received an award certificate, flowers, a special Daisy Award pin, and we will hang a banner with her name on it on CAPS. Her staff on CAPS was also awarded with Cinnabon cinnamon rolls.

Thank you to everyone who nominated a wonderful nurse, and please join us in congratulating Ginger Bai for being the cream of the crop!
