My husband was in ICU A3 after open-heart surgery. He started acting very "different" from his usual self. He was very sharp and hateful with his words. He started being combative and aggressive. Then he decided that he was going to get up and go home. Of course, he couldn't because of all the IVs. After several hours of him trying to get out of bed, Irma recognized that he was suffering from "ICU delirium". She then called for her supervisor and security to help with the situation. All these people convinced him to settle down and stay in bed.
Her patience, calmness, and professionalism went above and beyond and is something that should be commended!
