I underwent shoulder surgery at DMH. Every nurse and doctor I encountered were so caring and kind. Jodi really went above and beyond. She was extremely kind and very attentive to all my needs.
While in recovery, my husband and I started talking about what I felt like eating when I got home. The only food that sounded good at the time was an iced sugar cookie from Subway. My husband said he would stop on our way home to get one. Jodi overheard our conversation and joined in on our discussion of my most random food request. It was then time for me to be discharged and to go home. My husband went to get the car and Jodi wheeled me down to the exit.
On our way to the exit, she took a left turn into Subway - where she went in and got in line to purchase me 2 iced sugar cookies with her own money. Her gesture of kindness made my day! Jodi showed me how "DMH CARES". Thank you, Jodi, for your act of kindness after you had already been such a phenomenal nurse taking care of me. You will definitely not be forgotten!
