I commend David for his incredible efforts and work over the past year regarding the increase in psychiatric patients in this hospital. His clinical expertise in this area exceeds that of any other here. He is a resource regarding all legal aspects, court processes, patient care, financial considerations, and current community standards. He has gone above and beyond this past year with his customer service. He is always available to come to meetings at the last minute to assist nurses and physicians. He has also committed his team to the assistance of these patients and issues 24 hours a day. They are always willing to help and that is great leadership! He has been an educator in this area over the past year. He received certification to teach all of us how to better communicate with patients. David has taught the nurses how to protect themselves by providing us with the best knowledge of working with this type of patient. He is a role model for me and many others. He handles himself in the most professional manner. His sense of humor is so helpful. He smiles and is consistent with who he is. He is a true leader with such a passion for what he does. I am so grateful to have him here!
He is very dedicated to the quality of care at NWHMC. He works diligently on falls and safety. He is so committed that he has come in to complete work while on vacation. I believe that his dedication is long overdue for some recognition. He has provided such support to management, administration, and staff throughout this past year with all of the psych patients. He has done this all on his own while still managing a busy unit and staff of his own.
