There was a patient on the Unit that was very ill with metastatic cancer and liver failure. Throughout the patients stay she was adamant that being a full code. The day Jen had this patient it was very clear the patient likely wouldn't make it through the day. Shortly after shift change, Jen took the time to talk to the patient and her spouse. As it turned out the patient wasn't at peace with dying because she had not been baptized. Jen facilitated the Chaplin paying the patient a visit and baptizing her. Jen allowed this woman to pass on with peace of mind. Had Jen not taken time immediately at the beginning of the shift for this patient, the outcome and overall peace and sense of well-being of the patient and the family may have been very different.

Jen was very professional. She offered words of encouragement when we were very anxious about our family members condition. She was always neatly dressed and has a nice personality.
