Heidi is amazing. She came onto her shift into a unique situation with a sick patient in labor. She did everything she could to make her feel comfortable from holding her hand, to breathing with her, to making calls to the doctors to get answers, to just empathizing with her. From the moment she walked in the room we could tell that she was here for her. Our situation was an adoption and Heidi embraced that as well, making us as adoptive parents feel comfortable. She was easy to talk to and also shared personal experiences with us that we could relate to. She also stopped in to say hi and check on things even when her shift got cancelled. She was not just a nurse doing her job over the course of our weekend at the hospital...we very much appreciated her loving, caring, and openness with us!
