Lisa has provided excellent work for a particular patient on our floor.Lisa always stands out as an experienced nurse with the unique talent to always advocate fiercely for her patients.She is a leader on our floor and stands out as an expert nurse who consistently raises nursing standards for her peers.We recently cared for a gentleman who experienced setbacks during his course of treatment.He became deconditioned, moderately malnourished, and required multiple surgical procedures to repair one infectious area.He was quite depressed, but Lisa was there to help.Even before the setbacks, Lisa always asked fellow nurses about the patient's condition. She always checks on and forms bonds with all her patients.Lisa cared for the patient multiple times and I feel that her compassion, skill, and genuine concern made the biggest difference for this patient.Lisa worked with physical therapy to work on ambulation and regaining his strength. She also took it upon herself to walk this patient daily.Now he is becoming stronger before our eyes and he even jokes around again.Lisa has formed a strong bond with him and has demonstrated what consistent nursing care can do for our patients.Lisa embodies all the values highlighted in the DAISY Award.
