Melissa is the first nurse I've known that is "passionate" about IV therapy. She is always a joy to work with and eager to start the day. She knows proper techniques and follows policy and procedures. I think she sincerely cares about her fellow teammates and tries to see to it everyone has a good, complete day. Melissa came from an "adult" environment and has adapted to the pediatric world quite nicely. She is intelligent and a problem solver. Melissa is always willing to offer a helping hand without hesitation, criticizing or requiring a detailed explaination. She has served on RPI's and has been an active voice for policy changes. She has a very positive attitude and gets along with a variety of people, as she has made some really good friends here. Professionalism comes to mind when her name appears. She is interested in continuing education and eager to teach others. She has recently started the path to continue her education from RN to BSN to MSN.
