Diana was recognized for taking care of an elderly woman who had to miss a 50th wedding anniversary trip celebration with her husband due to being in the hospital. She arranged for an empty room on the unit and converted it to a special dining area for the patient and her husband. She arranged for a special dinner to be brought to the couple, decorated it with hearts, flowers, balloons and music. Then, brought the patient in the room where she saw the dinner and her husband. The patient was so grateful that she started crying with happiness. It was extremely touching for the patient and her husband. This nurse went above and beyond to show her dedication to her patient. They were able to celebrate the happy occasion event while in the hospital.
