Laura is an RN in the reproductive medicine department and she is absolutely amazing. Often times she is your second stop in an appointment after blood work but before seeing the physician to discuss cycle plan/progress. Laura performs the ultrasounds to check for follicles, cysts, and the sort. She is always certain to explain to you exactly what is going on and what she is about to do before she does it. I have been traveling a weight loss journey alongside my fertility journey and she is always certain to ask me how it is going, commend me on my successes, and give me support. Her ultrasound room has the most calming atmosphere because of her and during an infertility journey that is so important.
This week I was scheduled for a SIS procedure and there were some troubles being able to execute the procedure because of my anatomy. Laura was in the room to do an ultrasound during the procedure, but while the physicians were poking and prodding she was so comforting and constantly making sure that I was doing okay. The entire Reproductive Department is amazing, but Laura is really an all-star. She is a knowledge base and support post all in one person. Her commitment to patient care is evident in the way she handles herself, speaks, and guides you through your appointments.
