Melissa Rybolt, RN
Our son came to the NICU with a horrible infection and a growth on his buttocks and spine. Melissa asked to be the primary nurse for our child as she and he bonded instantly.
He went through many procedures, four MRIs, 2 attempted spinal taps, surgery on his ruptured growth and neurosurgery on his spine. Through it all we came to note Melissa’s proactive care.
She would check her work as well as others to ensure 100% for each procedure. She would check air tanks, ensure surgery had a nurse to monitor him, verify information with the doctors that did not sound correct. Above and beyond, we learned a lot about parenting from her and we had someone to talk to when all the procedures and questions we had were overwhelming. It’s hard to say any of the nurses were not amazing but Melissa was exceptional to our son and us.
