Alicia is always willing to go out of her way to help. There is a large group of new techs in the emergency department and Alicia is their ACM. She has done a great job of finding ways to help new staff feel supported and involved in making changes to the department. Alicia has also tried to encourage teamwork between nurses, techs, and doctors. When Alicia is in charge she has worked extremely well with families in difficult situations and helped the unit run better. I can think of a situation where Alicia worked with the psych department during one of our many high census shifts and was able to find a way to accommodate a family that needed extra attention. It had the potential to be a very stressful situation but she worked with the family and all of the staff involved to make sure everyone's needs were met. I am so impressed with her ability to make a difficult situation seem manageable. We are so excited when she works and know that we can handle anything that comes in and she will help us to have a great night!
