Sharon went above and beyond her job description and helped my husband and me. First, her smile will put you at ease right off and give you the sense that all will be okay.
We were going to be discharged with follow-up needs at the large teaching hospital in town. Immediately I became nervous because we have never been there and it is huge! I didn't know who to call or anything. Sharon comes in and said she is going to help me and my nerves and anxiety lessen. She kept coming in to give us updates on who she called and what the status was for the follow-up. My anxiety went away! I knew she had this and would help us. We were discharged before it was all set up and Sharon gave us the unit's phone number so we could call her. She got his appointment set up, and called and told me exactly what to do, where to go and who to ask for. Baptist will always be my hospital because of people like Sharon.
