Brad has shown his compassion in many ways since joining our ICU team. I would like to share a message from one of Brad's patients who posted about her visit to St. Joseph Hospital - St. Charles on social media.
'I would especially like to thank my nurse Brad, who not only promised me that he would not let me die on his watch, (which obviously did not happen) but also took care of my parents and fiancé and made sure they knew what was happening with me at all times.'
From a nursing standpoint, keeping patients and families informed is the first step to building trust. Even though this can sometimes be challenging, Brad does this naturally and treats it as a basic need while focusing on every patient and family. He is an asset to our ICU team and we wanted to take this opportunity to let him know how much we appreciate him and his compassion.
