The OB GYN Nursing staff received our 2017 DAISY Team Award due to the overwhelming amount of recognition for multiple nurses. Here are just a few of the stories that were submitted:
Tina is a wonderful caregiver. She is knowledgeable, caring, and professional. With her help, we had our first boy. We are so blessed to have Tina as our nurse. We hope we could have her again for our second child.

Thank you, all staff member who worked closely with K. We came to the hospital for the first time for NST and from that time on we observed the utmost care and good treatment. The courtesy that was shown is commendable. All things were moving smoothly while K was in labor and all of a sudden some complications occurred. Thank you, Ashley, for noticing those changes. Within minutes the whole team came to the rescue. We noticed quick reaction and decisions by the team. Thank you for delivering our baby safely. Your quick actions and teamwork likely saved our baby's life. We will always feel grateful to the entire OB team at Beaumont Wayne especially Ashley, Jenny, Tina, Kassy, Carla, Renee, Crystal, Beth, Julie.

Casey, Melanie, and Christina are the best! They patiently and clearly explain things so I could understand what was happening with my care. They were a wealth of knowledge and experienced professionals. Even when my pain was well controlled they still came to check on me every half hour. They kept me smiling and encouraging me which helped a lot during my stay. We appreciate all they did for us during our stay at Beaumont Wayne.

Wanda shared stories with us to keep us comfortable and made us feel like she is a friend of ours we have always known. When complications happened she jumped into action with so much knowledge about what was happening she saved ourbaby and we will always be grateful. She has such great personality traits she would be someone I would be proud and honored to call a friend. Thank you, Wanda!

Ashley, Beth, Casey, and Jennifer were exceptional. They were all so kind and empathic in their own way. I had a bad experience in my last birth at a different facility. I was very scared of having another C-section. These nurses made me feel relaxed and comfortable. I credit them with my quick recovery for if it wasn't for their kind faces and reassurance I know I would not have made it back into the OR. Thank you, ladies, for all you do and for making a difference in your patient's experience while in the hospital.

Renee was so very thoughtful and encouraging while I was recovering from my C-Section. She was fun, upbeat, and attentive. She took care of my every need. She went out of her way to get to know me and my preferences often bringing me things before I even asked. She was competent and considerate and always available to help. She has all the best qualities of an exceptional nurse and she should be an example to others. She also had a flawless bedside manner. Thank you so much for making my stay such a positive experience.

Casey was an absolute pleasure to deal with during my stay. She was patient and understanding and was very gentle with me. I was thankful for her help in the shower. She was attentive to my needs and had a great bedside manner. Casey is competent, knowledgeable, compassionate, and a model nurse in every way. Thank you, Casey.
