Rachel is an amazing nurse who took care of me and my family after I had my daughter. Rachel has an excellent bedside manner and genuinely cares about her patients. She helped me work on breastfeeding and sat with me during the entire feeding to make sure it went okay. My daughter ended up going to the NICU for some respiratory distress. Rachel seemed concerned, and had to call for the NICU team. I knew something wasn't right and could feel she did the right thing. Rachel sat and talked to me for quite a while when my husband was gone to make sure I was okay.
Rachel also arranged for me to be able to stay in my postpartum room an extra night. I could be close to my daughter so I would be able to sleep in a bed, and go to the NICU in the night to feed her. Rachel went out of her way to help me; she even stopped by the NICU later in the week to check to see how my daughter was doing. What Rachel did was more than being a good nurse, it is being a caring, compassionate person. My husband and I will always be thankful to Rachel for her excellent care that she gave to me and my daughter. Rachel made our bumpy postpartum experience easier to handle. Thank You Rachel.
