Leah is the chair of our Perinatal Bereavement Committee and often cares for our high-risk antepartum patients as well. As a direct result of the excellent clinical, emotional, and psychosocial care Leah provided to one of these high risk moms over 10 weeks with the delivery of a healthy baby, the mom had her own wedding gown donated to the Angel Gown Program. We received a shipment last week from Angel Gowns of over ten beautiful wraps and outfits to be used by future perinatal loss patients as momentos or burial clothes for their little "angels." The love and care of this phenomenal nurse, Leah, resulted in a patient sharing her own joy to help counter the grief of others in the future. What an amazing statement that makes!
