Wayne was described as being very friendly and attentive to the patient's needs at a time the ED was very busy. He was able to start her IV on the first try, which was not typically her experience. He explained everything she needed to know and "knew how to do his job right".

Wayne was the nurse for a family during two of their ED visits. The second visit was for their 8-year-old son. Wayne was able to make him feel at ease and that was priceless to the family. During both visits Wayne made certain they were aware of everything that was happening and that they were as comfortable as possible. The family described Wayne as having an "awesome bedside manner".
