During my second night in the hospital, my baby girl was very fussy and nothing was comforting her. I asked Jamie if it was possible that she was hungry because my milk had not come in yet. She gave me some tips on what I could try and even brought me a manual pump to try to use before breastfeeding. Because of her advice and help, I was able to calm my baby down enough for us both to sleep. Jamie's care and suggestions while I was in the hospital have even helped me after I returned home. She was awesome and made our hospital stay a great experience.
She helped us with so many situations but one area that she excelled in was helping me breastfeed. I had a hard time getting her to latch and she was there to help me try different positions and find one that would work.
Not only did our nurse meet all the criteria listed above but she went above and beyond to help us with anything and everything. She helped with breast-feeding, she took the baby for a few hours so that I could rest. Jamie explained everything and made sure we understood. She answered all our questions, she basically went above and beyond! She is amazing and deserves this award!
