Nurses become family sometimes, and Fateesha has already become my daughter. Since the first day we met her, she has always cared and showed her love towards us. She has always gone above and beyond just being my daughter's nurse, advocating for her, caring for and loving her as much as I do. I am also very thankful that even under the circumstances, we got to meet such a dedicated and loving nurse like her. She has always taken the time to learn what my daughter likes and dislikes. When my daughter has a rough day and they try to make a lot of changes on her, Fateesha knows she doesn't like it and advocates for her.
She always tries to take time out of her day to sit down and make sure I'm doing okay. She has even cried with me, and given me so many nice words and hugs when our day wasn't going so great. She has been such an amazing primary nurse for my daughter. We got to meet Fateesha on our lowest moments and she took the time to know my daughter and me. She is family and has been through this journey with us and has always lent me a shoulder to cry on, and has been just someone to talk to. I really think she deserves this award because of what a wonderful nurse and friend she is!
