Manny was nominated by a physician for his helpful and compassionate attitude towards a critically ill patient.
The physician was called in for an early emergency surgery and the patient needed labs completed right away. Manny overheard and immediately offered to help draw and send labs when he wasn't even assigned to cover that area.
"He did everything he possibly could to help me get a critically-ill patient into the OR safely," the physician wrote in a nomination letter. "After the case began, Manny even came back into the OR to see if I needed any additional help. I am grateful that I work beside such a compassionate, humble employee that knows the meaning of teamwork!"
