On multiple occasions, Sadie requested one of our more complex patients. This patient was very ill and she and her family needed a lot of support. She knew the family felt comfortable under her care. She went above and beyond even more so on one particular day. The patient was made comfort care after several weeks and multiple discussions with practitioners. She passed away early one morning. The family developed such a strong bond with her they asked if we could let Sadie know that she had passed. Sadie decided to immediately come in on her day off to comfort them. She even shampooed the patient's hair and gently helped them clean her up. Sadie is always providing her patients top of the line care and compassion. She never hesitates to help others in need whether it is staff or other patients on the unit. She's our quiet angel!
