I nominate Carmela for her true passion and excellence within the field of nursing. She does not come to work each day to see patients, but rather to see family members. She creates such a strong bond with each and every one; it is hard to see how this could not happen. She also has a genuine smile, which combined with her laugh, brightens up the room every time.
She not only made me feel comfortable with the care I would receive but she reminded me that I was an individual with individual needs. Her ability to create these special bonds with her patients is what makes her unique. With these traits, her knowledge of the nursing field, and pure passion for her chosen career, she is single-handedly the greatest asset to the team, and to each and every one of her patients.
