I have been struggling with breastfeeding following my C-section and my son being in the NICU for his first 24 hours of life. My anxiety was high and I was feeling very stressed. When Franquell came to take the night shift, along with another nurse, their demeanor immediately put me at ease and their willingness to help and go above and beyond was exemplary. They laid down next to me on the bed to help me breastfeed and we were able to get our first successful feeding because of it. They were showing me and my husband exactly what to do to stimulate my son and get him to latch and suck properly. Not only that, they also were actively trying to find ways to make me more comfortable, including inquiring about additional medication and abdominal support. They were also extremely prompt in responding to my needs. Overall, they were positive, outgoing, exceedingly knowledgeable, and the nicest people we have met in the hospital. Everyone should be so lucky to have these two nurses taking care of them.
