Tara went above and beyond her job to take care of my mother during her extended stay. As my mother was often confused, Tara consistently was patient and helped her calm down. She thoroughly explained what procedures, medications and the next steps to us and took care of us as much as my mother we nicknamed her "mom whisperer" because when my mom was agitated, Tara would spend 30 seconds with her and my mom would be calm. Even when Tara was no longer my mother's nurse, she took time out of her day to check in with us and see how my mother was doing. I came to rely on her knowledge and experience and became one of her patients too in the sense that she helped me get through this ordeal. She has truly found her "calling" as a nurse and the patients at Mary Washington Hospital are truly blessed to receive her care. Thank you for hiring such a bright star.
