Genevieve was so kind to me. I had a hysterectomy, late in the afternoon. I was so very sick that night and the next day. My kidneys weren't functioning properly and she watched over me like an angel, she kept in contact with my Doctor all night long. Because of Genevieve, I did not need to have dialysis. She is a wonderful, loving, caring person!

I think Genevieve is deserving of this award because she was called upon to do a difficult task, which is place an IV in my daughter who is a very difficult poke. She usually ends up with a PICC every time she's admitted. Genevieve was able to prevent that from happening. She was very patient and looked closely before she decided to poke my daughter. I appreciate her for it.

From her manager: It's not a surprise to me that Genevieve receives letters and cards from her patients through the mail sent to her directly on the unit. She receives multiple DAISY nominations as well as saluting the stars from staff, patients and visitors. Some patients claim she is their guardian angel when she takes care of them. She goes out her way to make sure the patient is receiving the best care and that we as a unit exceed their expectations during their stay with us.
