Martha Phillips better known as Marte can be described in one word and that is 'Super'. She is involved in many unit based projects and committees as a result of this position. Marte recently earned her CPAN certification (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse). She is a member of ASPAN (American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses). She is always willing to help. She has excellent computer skills and assists the nurses as well with EPIC training. Marte worked with the Anesthesiologists to develop a protocol for treatment of post-operative corneal abrasion. She also developed an instruction sheet for these patients to follow upon discharge. Marte is a great bedside nurse. She has excellent critical care skills and enjoys talking to her patients and includes their families in their care. Marte is always willing to assist anyone. It doesn't matter how busy she is. She is a great source for our unit with all her knowledge and experience. The 2NT PACU is fortunate to have such a good role model.
