My patient was diagnosed with an illness 6 months ago and underwent several procedures and treatments. Toward the end of her time, her husband was not ready to let go but the patient was. She was no longer upset and was at peace. Sable was positive, caring, nurturing, loving, and kind, even towards the husband who was having a difficult time. Sable gave the patient the opportunity to have control in their care, and not treat her like a box of tasks. She trusted Sable. Sable gave her the extra love and genuine care that the patient wanted her last 2 days alive. Sable listened to the patient's concerns and needs and went above and beyond to arrange the final wishes for her, including making sure her husband was comfortable.
