Our family member had been in the hospital in ICU and had been transferred to 4 South where he was having trouble breathing. One morning, after a very bad night he was having more than his usual trouble breathing along with chills and a fever. Jessica was pulled to work on his floor and noticed his problems during morning report. She didn't wait for report to get finished; she immediately jumped in and called his doctors. Within a few minutes, she had him transferred back to the ICU. Jessica went with us and made sure the ICU staff knew exactly what was going on. We feel as though Jessica was our guardian angel and don't know what would have happened if she had not been sent to our loved one's room. After leaving ICU we came to 2 South where we were lucky to have Jessica as our nurse. Even though she had other patients, she cared enough to arrange her day to get us outside to ward off depression. She got a general diet for him so the food would taste better and she insisted on getting his low oxygen levels up; she didn't let them slide. Thank you, Jess, for caring so much, 2South is lucky to have you.
