Ta has been a nurse on 5 Medicine for over 16 years. She has a remarkable ability to take all the changes in the work environment in stride. Her dedication to her patients and her selfless way of working with them continues despite many new challenges in the delivery of healthcare. She puts forth exceptional effort to communicate with others and is undeterred in her mission to understand and to be understood. She still comes to work every day like it is the first day on the job, with enthusiasm, curiosity to learn, and she gives her best. She consistently displays the highest ethical standards.
Ta's dedication to the profession is evident in her everyday work. She puts patients at the center of all she does, always striving to provide the best care and guidance. Despite her diminutive stature, Ta is a pillar on 5 Medicine: steady, determined, and tenacious. She is quick to volunteer to work extra or longer if a nurse is needed on the unit. Confident and knowledgeable, she holds herself to a high standard of excellence when fulfilling daily tasks. She stays calm and focused, even in the face of high stress and adversity.
Ta has a gentle and soft-spoken demeanor. She is committed to her work and she loves what she does. She is one of our chemo nurses and she goes the extra mile to complete the necessary continuing education. She understands and anticipates potential side effects of chemo and is prepared to mitigate them with the knowledge and wealth of experience that she has. Ta engages with her patients and provides support and a sense of calm as she goes about providing care at the bedside. She is selfless and possesses tremendous patience for the people she cares for, as well as for the people she works with. She is always willing to share her expertise and help her coworkers. She is just as ready to learn from others; she is a true collaborator.
