Song is always there to help someone smile and feel important.
Song is amazing. She truly looks at her patients and their families as one. She sees the things that some of us other nurses might miss. She will miss a break or do whatever it takes to give the time that each patient and family need.
Song does not just do this with the patients and their families, but with her coworkers. She tries to help whenever she can. She will be the first to volunteer to work for someone that needs time off. A wonderful example of this was 2 years ago my daughter-in-law was going to the hospital in the evening to give birth to my grandson. As I knew it would be a late night, I thought I would just try and see if Song could possibly come in the next am for me. It was both late and late notice, but I asked her and as always she didn't hesitate to help.
Song is always there to help someone smile and feel important. Recently, two people on 3200 were going to retire. On their last day of work, Song came in for both of them just to say good-bye. I know that it certainly made their day. As one of the nurses said, she will never forget how special Song made her feel!
