Vanessa was assigned to my father during his stay in Progressive Care following throat surgery. We were extremely fortunate to have her care for our 92-year-old father. She worked with him several days in a row, which I feel gave her the insight and knowledge of his condition and helped to create a consistency in his care. Vanessa possesses excellent nursing skills. Her honesty, as well as her ability and patience to explain certain aspects of his condition and care, were greatly appreciated. Vanessa has a positive attitude and a reassuring nature. She has the ability to meet the current needs for my father but is also able to anticipate what may occur in the future. This added perspective is helpful in order to see the whole picture and not be taken by surprise if other problems arise. I am grateful for the care that she has been able to provide for my father. Her efforts and heartfelt dedication are recognized with this DAISY Award.
