I arrived on the floor after being told in the ER that I was being admitted due to my pancreatitis diagnosis and my stay would be indefinite. The length of my stay would depend on how fast my pancreas could basically heal itself so the length of time I would be at the hospital couldn't be determined.
Asia was the first nurse that I was introduced to who was very friendly, kind, pleasant, had a beautiful smile, and was able to calm my nerves by letting me know that I was in the right place and the team was going to do everything they could to make me comfortable. Asia was able to answer all my questions and if she didn't have the answer she would go and find out the answer and return to let me know her findings. If my call button was on Asia and the other staff would respond in a few minutes which was wonderful. She explained to me how to stay on top of the pain and nausea which I followed to a tee.
Asia is very caring. She made sure I stayed warm, she made sure I had the fluids I needed for my clear liquid diet, and she never once made me feel that I was a bother. It is evident that Asia loves what she does for a living by her actions. She's knowledgeable and makes sure her patients are tended to. I personally feel that she is a great asset to The Medical Center of Aurora and to her team. Thanks, Asia, for turning what could have been a bad experience into one that was memorable in a good way.
