We would like to recognize Arlyn for her contribution to the profession of nursing and Kaiser Permanente. Arlyn is a patient advocate and a leader. She is professional, full of knowledge and empathetic. She promotes teamwork by example.
When you approach her with questions, she has an abundance of knowledge that she uses to ensure that our patients receive quality care and helps us, as nurses, to advocate for our patients. She may notice something about the patient which she will confer with you about her concern in a collaborative manner so that our patients achieve the optimal care. She never makes you feel inadequate or silly for asking a question even if you ask her the same question ten different ways!
Even when she is faced with challenges, she does her job with grace and makes it seem effortless. She is always willing to help even though she is also busy. When you feel like you are drowning she jumps right in as a life preserver and rescues you. When we have days that seem daunting, she'll inspire people by saying, "Let's have a good day!"
She is an asset to the profession of nursing and to Kaiser Permanente. She is the epitome of an RN and embodies the qualities we should all strive for as nurses.

She provides excellent care, with integrity and compassion; she is a team player, extremely professional, and keeps the patient and family in the center of everything that she does.
