I would love to tell you about our amazing experience with one of your Labor and Delivery Nurse, Natasha. She is the most amazing, understanding, and caring people I have ever met at Elkhart General Hospital. Words cannot express the joy she has put in our family's heart. From the first time we met her, she was very happy and explained everything to my daughter who is a first time mommy. She came in very often to see how she was doing and made it her priority to make sure she was comfortable. My daughter is a person who does not handle pain at all. As her labor got more intense, Natasha offered to stay with her and do her paperwork so that her aunt and I could get a little rest before the baby got here. She even cried with me when he was born.
My hope for the future of nurses is that they love and are passionate about their jobs as Natasha was to us. Even after the baby was born, she would come in and see how she and the baby were doing. We hope that when this virus is over that we can come to see her. She is still talked about at home. Natasha is the true definition of what a labor and delivery nurse should always be- kind, gentle, and understanding. Words cannot express the gratitude she will have in our hearts for the rest of our lives. It was truly an honor to have her take care of my daughter as she became a mommy for the first time.
