Catherine first started to float to the PBMU this summer. Every time she steps foot on our unit, she brightens the day of patients, families, and staff. Catherine is always smiling, welcoming, and preparing to help everyone to have a great day. She continues to provide efficient and safe care to her patients and is always willing to lend a helping hand when the unit is in need. Catherine was able to adapt to the flow of a busy unit with multiple patient needs. She is eager to learn how to improve her nursing skills as well as teach staff, patients, and families when the opportunity arises. I love seeing Catherine on the floor interacting with the patients; she does not hesitate to check in with a crying patient, console a parent, or simply laugh with staff/patients. Even on the busiest of days, Catherine is always willing to go above and beyond to ensure patients, families, and staff's needs are met. Catherine often will use error prevention tools to ensure patient care is safe. I am so proud to say I work with Catherine and I know she provides excellent care to the patients, family, and staff on the PBMU.
