Heather stayed with me and helped me through the hardest time of my life. I was diagnosed with cancer. Heather told me something I will never forget. She told me that God puts us through things sometimes that we don't understand nor do we want to go through and the hardest part is we never know why. Before she left myroom which seemed liked hours, she toldme "Girl let's claim our victories". When I asked Heather to explain, she told me that she had claimed her promise of having a baby and that I needed to claim mypromise of being cancer free and healthy; claim it and trust God to make it happen. Well eight months later, here I am. I have completed my last chemo treatment. It sounds silly but I have remembered those words this whole time, "Claim our Victories". What seemed to be nothing to her made all the difference to me and gave me a reason to push through.
