On a day when we had to make some very challenging decisions without having all of the information that we would have liked to have had, Danielle stepped up, being compassionate, respectful and responsible. She was proactive, resourceful and responsible, and an active listener. She focused on our concerns, offered options based on what we said as well as offering options she knew were possible. She took ownership of helping us make an informed decision as she went to work getting us information. She gave us regular updates so we were never left wondering what was going on. Her calm demeanor and presence helped us to be more calm during the upset. She offered choices, including ones we did not know about. She was professional, guided without pushing, made sure we understood, even translating phone conversations that were hard to hear due to hearing loss. She connected people and services to make sure our loved one got the care he needed and she did it while smiling and appearing calm. Always inclusive, warm and compassionate. We felt safe and comfortable in the hospital, something that we have not felt in years.
