From the moment we met Julia, we knew our son was in good hands. The quality of care Nurse Julia provided for us in our time of sorrow was instrumental in our healing as parents. She was very attentive to our son's needs and she learned right from the start what his pain signs were. She sat with him when she could and she watched him and learned his "tell-tale-signs" as we called them. The dry lips, the pulling and picking at his diaper, and the throwing of his left leg when he was wet. The left side of his face twitching/grimacing when he was in pain. She knew them all and helped him to be in less pain whenever possible. I am so grateful to her because not only did she do her job, but she also took care of our son as if he was her own. Julia also encouraged him daily to get up and try to walk, and just to be up out of bed. She played music for him every day to help get his day started in the morning and to get him going.
