Brooks took care of my boyfriend on the third floor at Vidant Medical Center and I wanted to send a thank you for the amazing care he received. My boyfriend almost died from liver failure due to alcohol and the staff did everything they could do to miraculously get him well and for that I am so thankful. One male nurse in particular was so amazing with him and made sure I was accommodated while I stayed with him, Brooks Braswell. Of course all the other nurses were great but Brooks in particular was so caring to us and even remembered him from a previous detox stay and treated him like a friend, which made me know his job isn't just a job to him. I am so blessed that your hospital staff not only saved my boyfriend's life, but treated us like people and really cared.
Today, my boyfriend is 100% sober, healthy and a totally different person thanks to Vidant Medical Center and their amazing staff! I would like to bring him in one day so his nurses could see what a different person he is. He looks younger and feels better and is leading a life admirable to his 6 year old son. Granted he does not remember a lot of his stay, I remember it all too well. Seeing your nurses and the care provided by them gave me a boost to get back into school to finish my degree in nursing so hopefully I can be a part of your amazing team in Greenville one day!
