January 1st I was admitted to Nebraska Medicine. The doctors and staff have been exceptional. I drive an 18 wheeler and have a Yorkie dog traveling with me. When I got admitted I had no idea what I was going to do with my dog; he was locked in my truck in the parking lot. Your staff checked around and found that one of your nurses, Cassie Smith, was a Yorkie lover and wanted to help. Cassie came to my room, got my keys to the truck and rescued me and my dog. She took the dog home and is keeping him for me until I get out. I offered to pay her for her service and she very graciously denied my payment request. Absolutely amazing!
