Christina Carter took care of a difficult, challenging, and frequently violent patient for an entire week. This was a 20-year-old autistic man who unfortunately tore several doors off the hinges in the ED. Christina advocated for this patient's placement, med management, and individual needs. She worked with the patient daily regarding non-violent behaviors. The patient's behavior improved because of the interactions and interventions. The family complimented and were amazed at how good she was with him. She went above and beyond for this patient.
