She went above and beyond to assist our family to ensure we were comfortable and informed about pending treatment. She went the extra mile to soothe and comfort our 5 month old by taking him for a walk in the hallway. He was very fussy due to hunger; he hadn't eaten in several hours. Kim gave our 3 year old some things to keep her entertained during our stay. A few days later Kim made a tutu for our daughter to wear after telling her that she wanted to be a ballerina. Kim laughed and joked with us which really made us comfortable. A hospital stay can be a very stressful time but having Kim as our first nurse really set the tone and the bar high for all the other nurses to aim towards. It was a blessing to have such a kind, loving, and patient nurse. She truly displayed wonderful character towards our entire family.
