Jerry Hicks, RN, is awesome!
Jerry's clinical skill and his compassionate care exemplify the kind of nurse that our patients, their families, and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model. He is extremely knowledgeable regarding wounds and wound care and is a strong advocate, not only for patients and families, but for the Sub-Acute Unit. Through his exceptional clinical skills, he has provided valuable care plans and extraordinary care that have provided healing for some unbelievable wounds on the Sub-Acute Unit.
Jerry provides remarkable customer service. He values each patient & family as well as staff members who need his help. I have heard him take the time on the telephone to explain a situation to a family member and alleviate anxiety. He is always willing to take the time needed to teach and/or explain answers to questions he may have received.
Jerry is easy to talk to from the standpoint of patients and staff. He is able to explain issues in the manner the listener will understand, whether it be patients, families or staff members. He spends whatever time is necessary to explain the care and/or issues to them.
After working with, receiving care from, or talking to Jerry, there is always a very satisfied customer!
